Robert Marton
Robert has practiced immigration law and removal defense since 2002. Robert has helped numerous individuals and families obtain family-based green cards, asylum, other forms of humanitarian relief, and citizenship in the United States.
In particular, Robert’s expertise comprises:
● Fighting cases in Immigration Court, as well as winning difficult appeals and motions before the Board of Immigration Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and other federal courts.
● Advising on the immigration consequences of criminal charges and convictions, and post-conviction relief.
● Seeking waivers and long-term status for persons whose cases involve alleged fraud, past criminal convictions, and other complex factual or legal issues in immigration law.
● Advises criminal defense attorneys and public defenders on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. .
Robert was previously an attorney in the London and Los Angeles offices of Milbank from 1997 to 2000 and at the London offices of Simmons & Simmons from 1995 to 1997.
Robert immigrated to the United States as in 1990 as a barrister admitted in England and Wales. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000.
